Children In Need

The group worked very hard to produce Pudsey shaped cookies and fairy cakes in aid of Children In Need.  The group also produced and decorated a teddy bear shaped cake for a "Guess The Weight of The Cake" competition.   Daniel Kuhlman professionally co-ordinated the marathon baking session and £57 was raised.

Secret Santa

The group worked hard to produce over 200 "Secret Santa" cookies which were delivered anonymously on the last day of term before the Christmas break.

Valentine's Cookies

Love was definitely in the air on the last day of the half term when students had to work out who really loves them!  Affection was shown by the secret heart shaped cookies that students sent to their loved ones to wish them a Happy Valentine's Day.  The event raised money for the Little Hearts Matter charity.

Valentine's Ball

Whitgift school came to life for years 7,8,9 and 10 at the Ball.  The group were fortunate to receive a grant from a company called Inc.  This money was used to host a student Valentine's Ball.  The evening was a great success with disco and karaoke being the main entertainment for the night.  Appearances were also made from Beauty and the Beast, the Queen of Hearts and Mr Blobby himself.

Cromwell's Trade Fair

The hospitality group enjoyed their biggest challenge yet by providing hospitality for the Cromwell's Trade Fair.  This involved providing food and drink services for over 600 people over two days.  Cromwell's have sponsored new tunics for the students and these will make their debut appearance at the event.

Famous Chef Flies In To Whitgift

In preparation for the Cromwell's trade fair Rachel Green (presented Kill It, Cook It, Eat It) came to talk to the students.  Rachel offered lots of contacts, inspiration and ideas to help the students to plan the final menu for the Cromwell trade event.
