Whitgift School Prom 2008

2008's Whitgift Year 11 Leavers' Prom was held on 21st June at the Habrough Hotel. 150 students arrived in limos and classic cars, all looking absolutely fabulous to celebrate the end of their exams and the end of their 5 years at Whitgift School.

We started the evening with a group photo outside the hotel before the party really started. After a sumptuous buffet local band Mister Sister, along with their disco, kept the dance floor jam packed for the rest of the night. The photographer, Clive Daines, was also kept very busy all night providing everlasting mementos of the evening.

At midnight the party was still in full swing but every Cinderella and Prince Charming had their limos waiting to whisk them off into the night.

All in all the evening was considered to be a great success. Both students and staff danced the night away and reminisced over the past 5 years.

I was, and still am, very proud to have had the privilege of organising our annual prom. Never more so than when both the hotel staff and the photographer commented that our students had been the most polite and best behaved they had known.

I would like to thank Spencer's for the free balloon decorations, Mister Sister, Clive Daines Photography, and Nadine Simpson and the staff of the Habrough Hotel for all their hard work and help in making the evening a resounding success.
