Aim Higher

In October, some of our Year 9 and Year 11 boys attended an event at the Beachcomber,Humberston, entitled ‘What's the decimal point of it all?' where they learned about the relevance of Maths in the workplace. On the day, there were activities organised by many enterprise organisations.

In November, thirty six Year 10 students attended a Journalism Day at the University of Lincoln, Brayford Pool Campus, where they made some particularly interesting news bulletins! Special mention must go to Molly Callaghan and Joe Topham, who certainly have careers as news readers well within their grasp. During the day, ‘The Stig' from Top Gear was (allegedly) on campus and students had to track down and interview the notoriously private star. Needless to say, he didn't reveal his true identity or remove his helmet. Students also toured the Campus, and despite the pouring rain, had a particularly pleasant day.
