| Year 10 Comenius Students Visit Ettenheim, Germany Comenius Update: Year 10 Comenius Students Visit Ettenheim, Germany for International Student Conference Twelve year 10 students, accompanied by Miss Glaves and Mr Carrington visited our partner school in Ettenheim, Germany from 31st March - 3rd April to participate in the year 2 Comenius International Student Conference, along with students from our partner schools in Italy and Norway. |
| Kids4Kids Challenge With thanks to Millennium Inorganic Chemicals several students were able to participate in the kids4kids cross country challenge. |
| Putting the 'FIZZ' into Science! We have no idea who first decided to drop Mentos mints into their diet cola but, in the past year, lots of video clips have been posted on websites like YouTube showing back-garden experiments with spectacular fizz. |

| Austria Ski Trip 2008 According to Mr Carrington, who has been on many skiing trips, this was the best group of kids he had ever taken away skiing. |
| Whitgift Students take to the stage in Aladdin! Following on from the success of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat the students and staff involved all worked extremely hard to make Aladdin just as enjoyable, giving up many hours to produce an entertaining show. |
| Whitgift School Young Friends of the Freshney Chris Scott, Chairman of Friends of the Freshney, continues to work tirelessly to help improve our local community, and was delighted when four of our Year 8 students helped out at the Duke of York Gardens. |
| Aim Higher/Gifted and Talented Events Our continued commitment to Aim Higher has enabled KS4 Whitgift Students to participate in Higher Educational events both at universities around the region and here in school. |
| KS4 Business Studies Visit to Manchester Airport and MUFC Mr Rumsby's second annual Business Studies visit to Manchester included a visit to Manchester Airport's Terminal 1 study centre, followed by a tour of MUFC Old Trafford. |
| International Comenius Project Year 2 - 2007 - 2008 The Year 10 Student Comenius Committee have continued the hard work this term, completing the project's key objectives for this year. |
