Sickness Bug Letter

Dear Parent/Carer

You may have received a letter from Whitgift School about a recent sickness bug. I want to clarify the school's position after seeking advice from the Local Authority.

At Whitgift School, we expect that with the first signs of any sickness, a child should stay at home for 24 hours and be monitored. Should the bug persist, please notify Whitgift School each day your child is away from school. We will record the absence as an illness on our systems. When your child has recovered, please send them to school.

This information supersedes any previous recommendations.
